Rave reviews for Andrew Michael Hurley!

New Eventbrite Header

Now, we know we’re not alone in the love of curling up with a good book; but give us a spine-tingling read and we’re ecstatic. So when we started to read some of the reviews for Andrew Michael  Hurley’s The Loney, we struggled to contain our excitement for his impending visit.

The Sunday Times reviewer, Peter Kemp, has described The Loney as a ‘masterful excursion into terror’.  The novel is described as being ‘dankly atmospheric’ with ‘solidly believable characterisation’ and he calls Hurley a ‘remarkable talent’. Already, The Loney has been hailed by some as a modern classic. High praise indeed!

With suggested influences such as M R James, Daphne Du Maurier and H G Wells (not to mention a big old thumbs up from Stephen King) all our gothic and creepy needs are sure to be met.

There is access to the full review here.
