‘Peachy’ fun with The Winter Gardens at the Family Day

James image Winter Gardens We are really pleased to be welcoming The Winter Gardens Blackpool to our Family Day team for the first time this year. They are bringing some ‘James-tastic’ activities to Stanley Park  for all the family to experience on July 2, 1-4pm.

We asked them to tell us more…

WP: Tell us a little about The Winter Gardens Blackpool?

WG: The Winter Gardens Blackpool is Lancashire’s biggest entertainment venue and this summer it welcomes James and his friends in Roald Dahls epic adventure James and the Giant Peach. Roald Dahl’s classic tale follows the adventurous young James and his friends – Miss Spider, Old-Green-Grasshopper, Centipede, Ladybird and Earthworm. Beginning at the end of the story, like all great tales do, James and his friends are living in the giant peach stone in Central Park, New York, but the real story lies in how they got there, all the way from the White Cliffs of Dover.

WP: What are you most looking forward to about the Wordpool Family Day?

WG: There’s lot of activities to look forward to including face painting, a colouring competition and even a chance to hold some creepy crawlies from Blackpool ZOO.

WP:  What will The Winter Gardens be doing on the Family Day?

WG: We will be promoting James & The Giant PEACH and be offering free face painting and chance to meet some real creepy crawlies and a colouring competition for a chance to win tickets

WP: What was your favourite childhood read?

WG: James and the Giant Peach, of course!

You can watch James and the Giant Peach at the Opera House Blackpool from 18 – 23 July.

Tickets from just £10 at wintergardensblackpool.co.uk
