We’re welcoming back Aspire Youth Dance this Wordpool Family Day on July 2, 1-4 at Stanley Park
Sarah Gough from Aspire Youth Dance gives us a preview of what to expect from them on Family Day
WP: Tell us a little bit about yourself?
SG: Aspire Youth Dance! We are a youth dance company ranging ages 10-15 years who meet weekly at Aspire Academy. We create contemporary choreography and perform as much as we can. Majority of dancers are graduates of The Royal Ballet School primary steps program that runs here in Blackpool.
WP: What are you most looking forward to about the Family Day?
SG: Dancing! And having the chance to see what else is going on. We performed last year and loved it – so we hope for good weather!
WP: What can we expect to see on the day?
SG: Performing in the Rose Garden – look out for the dancing in between the roses!
WP: What was you favourite childhood read?
SG: The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson
